May 24, 2005 - Summit Marketing International LLC Recall to Repair Children’s Folding Chairs
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Summit Marketing International LLC, of Dublin, Ohio, is voluntarily recalling 2 million children’s folding chairs. The chair’s safety lock can fail, allowing the chair to collapse or fold unexpectedly. Children’s fingers can become caught or entrapped in the hinge and slot areas of the chair, posing a pinch or cut hazard. This can cause severe lacerations and finger tip amputations to children’s fingers.
April 29, 2005- Atico International USA Recall of Children’s Folding Chairs
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Atico International USA Inc., of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. is voluntarily recalling about 1.5 million Children’s Folding Chairs. The chair’s safety lock can fail, allowing the chair to collapse or fold unexpectedly. Children’s fingers can become caught or entrapped in the hinge and slot areas of the chair, posing a pinch or cut hazard. This can cause severe lacerations and finger tip amputations to children’s fingers.
April 21, 2005 - Royal Seating Ltd. Recall of Children’s Chairs
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Royal Seating Ltd., of Cameron, Texas is voluntarily recalling about 46,000 Royal Seating Prima Chairs. The seat portion of the chair can detach from the leg base possibly causing a child to fall to the floor.
September 23, 2004 - Delta Enterprise Corp. Recall to Repair Director’s Chairs for Children
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Delta Enterprise Corp., of New York, N.Y. are voluntarily recalling about 81,000 Director’s Chairs for children. The chair can inadvertently be misassembled so that the fabric seat can come off the chair’s frame and expose metal support rods. If fabric seat comes off the frame, there is a laceration and fall hazard to young children.
August 19, 2004- Meco Corp.Recall of Red Chairs from Children’s Furniture Sets
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC),Meco Corp., of Greeneville, Tenn. is voluntarily recalling about 3,800 Kid’s Essentials Five-Piece Folding Furniture Sets. The red paint on the chair contains excessive lead levels, posing a lead poisoning hazard to young children.

December 18, 2001- Sandberg Manufacturer Recalls Children's Dressers
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Sandberg Manufacturer Co., of Los Angeles, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 8,200 children's dressers. The dresser can tip over during use, posing a serious injury hazard to consumers.
October 11, 2001- Palliser Furniture Ltd. Recalls Toy Boxes
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Palliser Furniture Ltd., of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, is voluntarily recalling about 4,500 toy boxes. The toy box's lid can fall suddenly, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards to young children. In addition, spaces at the end of the hinge on the lid can cause pinched, crushed and lacerated fingers.
July 24, 2001- Basic Comfort Inc. Recalls Infant Seat Pads
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Basic Comfort Inc., of Denver, Colo., is voluntarily recalling about 16,000 infant seat pads. The seat pad has two shoulder straps that create a v-shaped opening around the head and neck, presenting a strangulation hazard to young children.
June 21, 2001- Recall of Chain Saws and Child Table Seats
Chain Saws - Stihl Inc., of Virginia Beach, Va., is voluntarily recalling about 1,000 chain saws. A missing screw can cause the chain brake to fail to operate, presenting a laceration hazard to consumers. Inglesina USA Inc., of Montclair, N.J., is voluntarily recalling about 780 child table seats. The seats were sold without a seat belt, posing a risk to children who climb out of the seat.
June 21, 1999- Children's Table Recalled by Crate & Barrel
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Crate & Barrel, of Northbrook, Ill., is recalling for repair about 4,300 children's tables. These tables have a 6-inch hole cut in the center. Children can stick their heads into these holes and become stuck. Head entrapment can be painful and it can be difficult to free the child.
September 3, 1998- Children's Furniture Sold at Target Recalled by PJ Toys
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), PJ Toys, of New York, N.Y., is recalling about 8,300 unitsof a variety of children's furniture, sold at Target stores. Some of the paint onthis furniture contains lead, which is toxic if ingested by children. High levelsof lead in paint violate the Consumer Product Safety Act.

Ridgewood Inc. of Ontario, Canada,and Charleswood Inc. of Wright City, Mo., sold approximately585,000 chifferobes (combination dresser/wardrobes) andapproximately 309,000 four-drawer dressers under thebrand name "Cosco Youth Options."
