In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Garden Way Inc., of Troy, N.Y, is recalling about 2,800 trimmers/mowers. The trimmer heads, which control the cutting cords, can split and detach, posing a serious injury risk to consumers.Garden Way has received 38 reports of trimmer heads splitting or detaching, resulting in two reports of toe fractures and five reports of bruised feet.

Raymond Geddes & Co. Inc., of Baltimore, Md., is voluntarily recalling about 6,500 Tropical Fish and Rockin' Reptile Push'n Pop toys, which are also known as Zapper toys. The balloon tongues and the cylinders holding the tongues on these toys can detach, which poses choking and aspiration hazards to young children. Giant Bicycle, Inc., of Newbury Park, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 2,400 Giant-brand bicycle front forks. The forks can break during use causing the rider to lose control of the bicycle, fall and suffer serious injuries. Schottenstein and Value City Department Stores, of Columbus, Ohio, are voluntarily recalling about 10,800 candles. The candle flame can ignite the silver paint coating on the candle container, presenting a fire hazard.

BSH Home Appliances Corp., of Los Angeles, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 2,300 Thermador® brand combination thermal/microwave ovens. Inc., of Vandalia, Ohio, is recalling about 3.4 million Joyride® infant car seats/carriers. When the seat is used as an infant carrier, the handle can unexpectedly release, causing the seat to flip forward. When this happens, an infant inside the carrier can fall to the ground and suffer serious injuries.
