In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), DeWalt Industrial Tool Co., of Hampstead, Md., is recalling about 25,000 framing saws. The saw's lower blade guard can fail to fully close during use, leaving the blade exposed and presenting a risk of laceration.

Two product safety recalls were conducted by firms in cooperation with the CPSC. AIG Designs Holding Inc., ofAlpharetta, Ga., is recalling about 1,200 entertainmentunits. The light fixture in these units can have exposedwiring, which could cause a fire or cause serious shock orelectrocution. Custom Accessories Inc. of Niles,Ill., is recalling about 20,000 Electro-Tek soldering irons. The internal connections in the soldering iron arenot insulated, presenting a shock and electrocution hazard.

Two product safety recalls were conducted by firms in cooperation with the CPSC. W.C. Redmon Co., of Peru, Ind.,is recalling about 1,800 "Cuddle Me Close" bedside cradlesfor repair. The legs on the cradles can become loose and can separate, causing the cradle to tip. Menard Inc. of Eau Claire,Wis., is recalling about 8,000 "Henry" Gym Sets, model #68.It includes two swings and a glider. If assembled incorrectly, the glider support tube on these gym sets could bend or break, causing the riders to fall or be thrown from the glider.

In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), five bunk bedmanufacturers are recalling more than 37,000 wooden bunkbeds. The beds have spaces on the top bunk that presentpotential entrapment and strangulation hazards to youngchildren. The spaces can be large enough for a child's bodyto pass through, but small enough to entrap a child's head.

In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), Electrolux, L.L.C., ofAtlanta, Ga., is recalling about 226,000 Ponytail Top-CordedHandle Upright Vacuum Cleaners. The power cords on thesevacuums extend out of the very top of the handle, and thecord is often used as an extension of the handle. The powercord can break inside the handle or the casing around thecord can break, and cause shocks or burns to the user'shand. Even when there is no apparent breaking of the casingaround the cord, these vacuums can still cause injuries.

In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), NIKE USA Inc., ofBeaverton, Ore., is recalling about 350,000 pairs of men'sbasketball shoes sold under the name "Air Face Up." Thebasketball shoes have a small, decorative metal rivetlocated on the outside of the shoe that can bend and form asharp edge.
